Kettle Brook Church Day Two (Wednesday)

Thoughts from yesterday:
We had a leisurely morning of discussion and devotions. Juana picked us up at around 12:00 and gave us an orientation and off we were to Esperanza Viva. We had a tour of the forms, grounds and buildings. We had a little play time with the kids and then a delicious lunch with carrot and cheese tacos, a Mexican broth soup with pasta and salsa too spicy for some.

Next it was activity time with the kids - coloring and nail polish. During that time, Mark and I had an interesting trip to the grocery store with Jim Carlson. The rest of the team had fun getting to know the kids. Time just flew by - soon it was time to return to our home.

The Esperanza Viva staff came over for worship and pray. It was probably the most moving and inspirational worship I have ever experienced. Even though it was in Spanish you could just feel the love of God in the room. I cannot even put into words how awesome it was. They prayed for our team with great love and compassion. We had some wonderful oatmeal raisin cookies and some fellowship time with the staff. All too soon it ended. But the team continued great discussion about the day's events. Boy, what a day. We are all pretty wiped out.

Some pictures from today.
