Redeeming Love Team Day Five (Wednesday)

Written by Christi Hastings
What a beautiful sunny day! No rain.

Today was our shopping day in Puebla. Once we arrived downtown we started out by a trolly ride around Puebla and we were shown some of the history of which included the battleground of Cinco de Mayo. It was impressive. They had some of the actual "cannons" used in the battle.

Afterwards we took a tour of the Talavera factory. We went through the process of how it's made. Did you know it takes four months to create one piece? And each piece is hand painted. Puebla is known for its Talavera.

Finally, we reached the market place and fell in love with it. Why is there never enough time to shop? So much to look at and so little time. We left satisfied with our purchasses and when back at the visitor house, we took inventory of our treasures.

We've eaten supper and we are off to church! What an awesome way to end the day.

Adios,
Christy Hastings
