This written by the Woodland Hills Team:
Sunday here in Puebla was wonderful. We started our day at church...first for a prayer service, then the full worship service. The music was beautiful, the artwork stunning, and the sermon uplifting. Our team was particularly impacted by the lines of one song:
Desciende, desciende,
desciende, sobre mí.
Desciende, desciende,
desciende, hoy aquí.
Descend, descend,
descend upon me.
Descend, descend,
descend here today.
It was a powerful song in which we all asked the Spirit to descend and cover us!
After church we spent the afternoon on an outing to Cholula. We were able to see the Great Pyramid of Cholula, the mountains and some street vendors and shops. It was a gorgeous afternoon, and we enjoyed spending time there with the Nielsens, a missionary family serving here in Puebla. We spent the evening back at the Nielsen's house for a pizza party and the Vikings game! It was fun bonding with several of the missionaries here.
The team is looking forward to the work week ahead. We have certainly bonded over many of our experiences together - especially having eight people sharing one bathroom (even when it clogs!). Lots of laughter, rich conversations, and deep excitement together over being here have drawn us to be a tight team. Please continue to pray for us. We are most grateful. Love and blessings to all!
Due to extremely slow internet in the evenings, pictures will be posted in the morning. Again, sorry for the delay.
