New Day Church (Sunday)

Today we went to the church here for the first time.  The  building was right next to a little field and a bunch of cows but you never would have guessed by going inside.  So many beautiful murals cover all the walls of the building and lots of long multicolored pieces of material hang from the ceiling by the stage like clouds.  The music and worship atmosphere was amazing.  Nobody criticized how other people praised God or if they stood or sat.  If only churches in the US could be as open as this one.  The people were very friendly, they made us feel very welcome and Jerry preached a great sermon.  After church we went "home" and ate whatever we could find in our kitchen.  Today I think most of us had microwaved cheese/salsa burritos cause we couldn't figure out how turn on the stove.  Once lunch was over we went to The Great Pyramid of Cholula. We walked all the way up these really steep steps (Except for Matt, he sprinted...of course :))  There was a little church up top with a great view around it.  We went to lots of the local stores afterwards.  Nico, me, my mom (Karen), Ben, William, Sharron, and Gramma (Bonnie) all bought various things from the different stores we found.  It rained, but it was a nice rain.  Now we're at home again eating spaghetti and getting ready to play another ten hours of cards.
