Each evening we recap and have prayer/worship. Monday evening everyone was amazed at their time at the orphanage and construction site. Who would believe we could be touched even deeper?
It rained extremely heavy at the construction site Monday afternoon. It was so forceful that it blew over some of the corn crops nearby.
On Tuesday we arrived at the land to find the rain had left us with mud and standing water to deal with.
No one complained; they all just pushed ahead. Some were a little more dirty than others, but they all still had smiles on their faces.
Landscaping was more important than ever because of erosion caused by the rain. The other crew worked on smoothing out the outside of the multi-purpose building and then had to repair a corner of the front wall of the property.
The youth have really impressed us on how they stepped forward. They are working very hard and have formed many new friendships.
Back at the orphanage the kids made pulseras (bracelets) and tissue paper pictures, colored, and played with magnestix.
A number of the kids made us bracelets to take home.
We wrapped up the day at the orphanage with the EV staff leading us in praise and worship. The staff took time to bless us for our work. It is amazing how great the staff is. They devote their entire lives to working with the children. We only gave up a week!
God bless the EV staff. You are amazing.
We are all looking forward to seeing what God has planned for us tomorrow.
Praise everyone back in the States. We feel your love and prayers.
