Well, we have been here in Mexico three days now. It has been so much fun. We have been working on the new land, doing various jobs. I have been working with Uncle Dave on the bathroom. Yesterday we emptied out rainwater from the hallway and today we were placing pipes in the bricks that will later be filled with electrical wires. At Esperanza Viva it has been really neat seeing all of our younger team members interact with the children there. There are two boys under three at Esperanza Viva so I have been having a great time watching them so their supervisor can have a break. One of them is named Daniel, like my brother. All of the activities we have been doing with the kids are great. I am looking forward to the rest of the week. ~Stephanie
Today was a real eye opener for me. After our time with the kids today the staff came over for a time of worship and prayer. I was once again blown away by their worship and was in awe of how comfortable I felt worshipping our Savior with all my new friends. God really opened my eyes to new things during this time, and I wish I hadn't missed my chance to share everything God showed me with the others. ~Nikki
Wow! What a great day! We spent time on the sight shoveling dirt. Might not sound like much, but God gave us a wonderful day and a beautiful view to do it in. We arrived at Esperanza Viva with our hearts opened to all the beautiful souls there. The kids were a blast. Later we were blessed by an incredible worship time with the staff that was so beautiful it reduced me to tears. The highlight for me was Rene's blessing over our youth. As a mom he expressed all my hopes and prayers for our special youth; that their hearts remain open to God's plan, and that their path is lit by God's blessing and love. What an encouraging message! ~Dawn
Dad (Troy) - Keti said last night that she was mad at you for not coming because you're hilarious and she misses you.
We played a game with the kids today in which I was the only team member who participated, the rest where the kids. I believe I was the only one who didn't know what I was supposed to be doing because the instructions were in Spanish, how fun. ~Brittany
