Kettlebrook Youth Team Day Six (Thursday)

Yesterday was wonderful.  The sun was shining and everyone got to soak up some of it as we worked and played.  We finished some of our projects and we are getting close to finishing up our other projects as well.
After we had eaten lunch at the orphanage, we started playing with the kids. It's so much fun seeing how joyful and content all these kids are, especially when you know some of their stories.  How God has changed their lives is amazing.
There was another youth group at the orphanage. They were really good with the kids.  They fact that they all spoke Spanish helped.  They sang a couple of songs and played some games.  Ashlyn and Mark helped with the games.  One of the games they played was a relay.  What the kids had to do was grab a water balloon, sit on it on a bench, and run back.  Ashlyn was helping the girls.  She had a pin and was popping the balloons when they sat on them.  One time, she popped it before they girl even sat on it. The person in charge of the other group made the girl sit on the water.
After each game, the kids would yell for who they thought had won. Las niñas or los niños.  At one point, Ashlyn yells, "Las niñas" and Mark yells, "Los niños." Everyone laughed.
We went to church again last night.  The worship was amazing.  The sermon was on faith and what it is.  It was challenging.  After church, we finished Jase's and Jim's devotion.  It was on what we could sacrifice to have a better relationship with God.  We had many lively discussions about what different people said.
All in all it was another great day. We all love being here, but we can't wait to see what God is going to do through us when we get home!
