East Hill Youth Team (Friday)

Hola Peoples!
So today is Friday June 25, 2010. Emily and I both didn’t have time to write it last night, so it’s 7:58am Mexico time, and 5:58am Oregon time, and were writing this blog for you, and eating breakfast at the same time. Yesterday was the 24th, we started our day with some great breakfast of French toast! Yummy! It was so good. After breakfast we went to the work site for our last day in the hot sun slaving away for God and for Esperanza Viva. In the beginning, well the first day of the four days of work, about 10 people started digging up and flipping dirt to start a soccer field, and soon put down seeds for grass. Our team finished the soccer field, well the digging part. So soon the workers will lay down the seeds, and hopefully if we ever come back (we’re sure we will) we can see kids playing on that soccer field, and see the joy it gives them!
After getting done with the work, we anxiously packed the bus, and headed to the orphanage!!! At the orphanage we played games for our last activity. Water balloon toss, jump rope, and the string relay, they were all REALLY fun! Especially with the kids, they were all energetic about the whole day, and just filled with joy. It turned out that the Esperanza Viva kids were more vicious than the team. They were throwing water balloons everywhere, and even dumping water bottles on some people, just ask Emily Brant, they got her good, first the water bottle than a water balloon popped on her shoulder, and the most innocent boy did it!
The day was so great, we came back to the house and were told that we would be sacrificing our dinner, and we would be having a bread and water fast.  I was personally up for it, and was excited. When it was time for dinner, we saw Jim, Gail, Rich, and Shan walk in with some good Mexican Dominos. The pizza was sooooo good!! And a lot of pop which was such a blessing, and then we all kind of went crazy and well stayed up forever, and we were very obnoxious, but we won’t get into that now!
Then a little after dinner we all got the words that someone prayed for all of the team, we all got envelopes with a little message from God given to each person. All the messages touched our hearts, and it was so good that we got those, and got to experience how God can tell someone else something that makes a huge impact on the other person’s life.
It was then time for bed after that, although no one went to bed! The boys and girls decided to flash flashlights to each other through the windows, since we live in different rooms. It was soo much fun, and so crazy! We were all in such a good mood, and then we had to go to bed.

Well time for Breakfast, Emily and I will write tonight about today!
Adios

Downtown Puebla

The big catherdral in the center of downtown.
In front of the fountain.
Then it was on to shopping!
Rich and Jonathan have become buddies.
This hat is so Brandon.
Waiting for the bus to take us back to Esperanza Viva.
Back at Esperanza Viva where German is showing Jason some card tricks.
Cards were a big hit today.
Smiles and friends.
More cards.
Lalo had fun watching the videos that Steven had taken.
There was also some sidewalk chalk going on.
There was the despedida (farewell program) today instead of tomorrow.
The sign reads, "That you coming!  We love you."
Pictures from last night's pizza.
I think Rich had something to say, I just don't know what it was.
