East Hill Youth Team (Wednesday)

OH SNAP!

Today is June 22, 2010. It’s a Tuesday!
Right about now, we are sitting in a hallway in the back of the guest house. Taking crazy pictures and singing “baby come back to me.” As you can probably think, we’re REALLY tired! Other than the fun going on now we have had quit an eventful day. We woke up to the smell of yummy pancakes. Which turned out to be just as good as they smelled thanks to Marly and Andrew (so humble…lol). Andrew did the amazing flipping of the pancakes, and Marly made sure they were made with LOVE! Which made them all the better. We had a great time listening to Mariah share what God put on her heart for Devotionals. We packed up and left our nice house to go to the work site. At the work site we continued our great work from yesterday. The jobs were, bathrooms, metal cutting, or digging up for a soccer field. The soccer field had a goal set, to get it more than half way done and it was met by our amazing team!! After the work site we went back to the orphanage and ate lunch with the children. It was even more fun than yesterday! Growing in relationship with the kids has to be one of the more fun things we have gotten to do all this week. Now I am going to talk to our guest blogger for the night. Miss Mallory. So Mallory what was your favorite part of the day? “My favorite part was getting to work with the kids when they were making the flowers and also making our goal for the soccer field done.” Mallory is there anything else you would like to say? “Ummm I would like to say that this mission trip is and has changed a lot of people for the better and I am proud to be part of it.” Well thank you Mallory. Moving on to the rest of the day. We had to rush home from the orphanage because we were going to have worship with the staff. God was totally present tonight! He gave people pictures and words all over the place. After our amazing time with our heavenly father we had a nice dinner made by our sweet boys Aaron, Keane, and Brandon (who just happened to get the joy of having one of the boys from the orphanage tell him he was never going to get a girlfriend). It was very tasty. After that we learned about the crafts we are going to do tomorrow and had some free time. A little time for all of us to go a little crazy! We just got done praying for our team to have good health and to thank the Lord for the things he is doing.
