Word of Grace (Sunday)

We arrived late Saturday night after a bus ride, a plane ride (made an hour longer while we waited for mail to be loaded), a bus ride and another short bus ride. All went well.
Brittany thoroughly enjoyed her 2:30 a.m. shower with her socks on. She didn't realize her socks were still on until she started showering. She thought it was 6:00.

The church service was amazing. It touched our heart watching the kids jump around in dance during praise and worship. It was amazing to sit and worship with people of a different culture. Not to be joined by language, but joined by the love of the Lord. Pastor Jerry taught about living our lives willing to sacrifice ourselves and our desires. It was interesting how our morning devotion meshed with the message at church. After church several team members tasted Dave's fried pork rhine with hot sauce.

We have appreciated the great driving skills of our bus drivers through the narrow busy streets.

It is Wally's birthday today. During lunch he was sung to with the Mexican happy birthday song.

We enjoyed a side trip to Cholula. Three pyramids were built one on top of each other and then buried. A church was built on top of this sight unbeknownst to the Christians. According to Sierra, we climbed a million stairs to get to the top.

Slug bug has become a very competitive game with those riding the bus. The rules have become very complicated and detailed. On a side note, the locals play slug bug with only yellow bugs. This would be a much quieter game.

At church this morning.
