Word of Grace (Thursday)

Blog from yesterday (Wednesday):
Our work project today was digging a ditch a mile long (according to Pam). No, really it was 90 feet. Everyone had positive attitudes even once we hit gravel. It was a great team experience. “Was is Dis” was one of our shoveling songs thanks to Wally and his German heritage. “Working on the Railroad” was our theme song after the pick ax came out on the gravel.

We introduced the kids to “Minute to Win It” games today that brought lots of laughter. The race games were lots of fun for the kids and we were glad los niƱos (the boys) finally won the third game so they could get a candy prize too. It was awesome to see the kids’ teamwork on their races!

The team is having a great time together with the children and the staff. The weather has been great for us.

We had a wonderful time with Jerry and Susy tonight in a question and answer session. They shared their origin and vision of Esperanza Viva and were gracious to share so much from their hearts with us.

P.S. Happy 20th Anniversary Troy! I love you! Sandra
