It is so good to be back here! We got to E.V. around 5pm on Saturday. This is my first time staying in the visitor´s dorms, which is awesome because we are on campus with the kids at all times. The kids remembered me! As soon as we were done eating and finished our welcome orientation we walked over to the basketball courts where I was greeted by name by many of the kids. Very soon after we started a game of volleyball. We had so much fun catching up with Keti chiring supper! She told us some of her “La Viña” stories. There are four men from Wisconsin who are leaving today, and so after supper the kids had their farewell. Oscar and Itzel and some of the other kids their age performed a dance in costume. It was a huge bonfire in the middle of the basketball courts. I played volleyball with the older kids until it got too dark to play and then I went and joined Julia by the fire. We were surrounded by many of the kids as we were asking questions back and forth in Spanish; it was so much fun to laugh with them at our mistakes and our answers. We are having so much fun already; this will be a great week! Estephanie.
Our family of of six is missing their mamma, but we understand her desire to give love and encouragement to those who don't have all of the many blessing we, sadly, take for granted. Now daddy's cooking has brought about a renewed spirit of thankfulness :) and our prayers are not only for strength, wisdom and safety for mamma and her group, pero también para los niños y para la maravillosa gente que les ayuda. ¡Amamos usted todos!
