Team Gozo Day One (Sunday)

Hola from Mexico!  Team Gozo here.  Well, we arrived safely, in the middle of the night, but in one piece.  Our flight from Chicago to Mexico City went very smoothly.  There were 23 of us on the flight, and we met our 24th member in Mexico City.  A huge praise that needs to be mentioned is that we had no problems at customs.  We were slightly concerned because our youngest Team Gozo member, Israel Stensberg, is still waiting on his U.S. passport.  But, thank God, no hold ups.       From there we hoped on a bus and headed to Puebla, Mexico.  We finally arrived at our house around midnight.  Everyone was ready for a good night's rest, however, the club next door had other ideas.  They were pumping out some bumpin' jams until around 3 AM.  Despite the party next door we were all able to get a little sleep.
We woke up today, Sunday, had breakfast and then headed for Nations Church for their sweet Sunday morning service.  The group also got a tour of the church.  After that we headed to Esperanza Viva. We had lunch and got to meet most of the kids.  This is one of two days we will have with the kids.  Starting tomorrow it is work, work, work.  But that is what we are here to do:  God's work.
Stay tuned for more updates as the week progresses.
Please pray that God keeps the rain from falling so that we can accomplish a lot of building.  Also, that this trip has a profound and lasting effects on the hearts of everyone involved.  Lastly, during out time playing with the kids there was an accident including one of the little boys.  Please pray for his quick recovery.
