We got to the land today. What a difference a year makes. One year ago there were no buildings and today we toured the first dormitory. I could envision the kids there enjoying their new home. The activites with the kids went well and there were lots of laughs and smiles. We had the older girls over to have snacks and do hair and nails. Me, Sierra, Kaley and Ariana all found over 40 snails and had fun watching them. God is great and we are so blessed to be here. ~Wally and Kelsey
Wow! This place never fails to amaze me, and I think it's because it's drenched in the spirit of Christ. It was much easier for me to speak wiht the kids this year - recognizing them helped to bridge the gap and deepen the connection. It's such an amazing feeling to be able to hold a conversation and understand what they're saying (for the most part). Tonight at the girl's night out I talked with a twenty year old named Maria and we shared our musical interests and what we wanted to be when we "grew up." I found a lot of similarities between us, which was cool to think someone almost 2,000 miles away could share so much in common. It's great to see the hope in these kids' faces, which Christ has lit from within them through the staff here. Alright, well goodnight. ~Keti
