East Hill Church

(Written Tuesday)
Our team has now spent two days with the kids focusing on banner worship. We have divided up into color tribes and have learned the symbolism of each color in worship. Our team has helped the kids learn two verses of “Su Bandera Sobre Mi Es Amor” (His Banner Over Me is Love) along with hand motions. The delight of the kids is evident as we fumble over the words in Spanish, culminating in BIG smiles all around.
For the first-timers our hearts have already been stolen by the kids. For the veterans, the relationships are already established and hugs are the language most used.
We worked at the new facility site today. Some of us mixed concrete and applied it with trowels and some of us pick-axed an area for a new walkway. The excitement is palpable as work progresses with a goal of moving in late December 2010 or early 2011. We learned of miraculous provisions and the cooperation of many entities to complete this monumental building project.
We are all so grateful for prayers offered upon our behalf. Our team is enjoying good health, great weather and making wonderful memories. Please continue to lift us up in prayer, especially for the team member who managed to pack on Reebok and one Nike as a pair and, despite this handicap, managed to pound out this blog.
