(Written Wednesday)
Last night when we got back from our time with the kids, all the staff was there for an amazing time of prayer and worship, I don´t think there was a dry eye in the room, we were all just so humbled by their prayers for us, especially when we´re supposed to be there to serve them. After that we made dinner and just as we were finishing the chavos (teen boys) arrived and the men left to go have ice cream and hang out. Us women stayed at the guest house with las chavas (teen girls) and we talked about inner beauty and I read Psalm 139. Then we had a time of washing their feet, painting toenails, fingernails and making barrettes. The girls had an awesome time but were pretty timid in letting us wash their feet, but felt very loved it really helped break some barriers. The girls were giggly and you could just sense the joy in the room it was also neat to see the women on our team connect with the girls. We all worked together and truly saw the fruits of submitting to serving the girls in this way. We watched them as they walked back down our driveway and were sad to see them leave. Looking forward to seeing how God moves in us as we connect with these teens more this week.

P.S. The first day here at the work site we needed shovels so I asked some workers for them and soon realized I was asking for swords (espadas) instead of shovels. Oops!!
P.P.S. Please keep praying for the guys, it seems some illness has crept in.
Hola! The last two days have been very busy. We have done a lot of work at the new land. What an amazing place with fantastic views. I never thought we would get some of the projects done, but when God is behind us, anything is possible. I have really seen how personal our God is this week and feel so grateful for the experience. The youth girls came over tonight for a spa night. What a BLAST! Lots of giggles, which is a language we all understand
Blessings, Shannon
Hi Mom, Dad and Siblings!
We´re at the end of our third day as I write this, and we have been quite busy, but I´m loving every minute!! After working on the new orphanage site, we did our songs, dances, and games with the kids at the orphanage, then the staff members came to the guest house and prayed for us, and we sang songs and fellowshipped together. I miss you and love you! See you soon!
Love Becky
