Redeeming Love Church Team

Wednesday Sept 14, 2011.

Yesterday (13th) the trip from Minneapolis to Puebla was l-o-n-g but smooth (no major glitches) We were prepared for the nine-hour layover at Houston airport so were able to read, relax, shop, eat, walk...

Today began with Ryan giving us a tour of the new Living Hope Community. The dorm is gorgeous. It´s such a blessing to be in brand new facilities after all the years spent in old rented houses scattered about the neighborhood. Everything is clean, fresh, open, airy and beautiful.

The part we all anticipate on these trips is spending time with the children. that´s exactly what we did this afternoon! We´re "home"!

It was a little cooler and cloudy today, but the sun managed to come out. I love seeing at the mountains and volcano. it´s so beautiful!

Our activities with the children was a big hit. We did memory books with the older children. We had brought down photo pictures of the kids and they got to go through them. Some of the older kids found pictures of themselves when they were small and were delighted! Even the staff had fun going through the pictures.

The smaller children made collages. We had put together a 6 page book, which each child could pick out pictures they liked and cut them out and paste them in their books. They loved looking through the pictures. Each child seemed to have their own theme, one choose all Christmas pictures, another animal, another flowers, etc.

It was a wonderful day, rained after we got back to the visitor house, and when it rains it rains! what a blessings to be here!
