The experience at Esperanza Viva has been awesome so far. Everyone has been so open and accepting. It has been wonderful getting to know the kids and the teens. We have had fun trying to communicate and have been able to connect despite the language barrier. God has been doing some great things here and within everyone. I’m excited to see what’s to come. ~Ashley Cyr
I feel like this place has become home and I can NOT wait until I am able to come down here permanently. God has definitely called me to this place and filled my heart with a vision for this place. It will definitely be hard coming home and leaving the kids and the ministry here, but I will be leaving with the hope of returning again very soon for a much longer period of time. God has got an amazing plan and this has definitely been a time of healing and letting go of my desires. ~Brittany
The time here has been amazing!!! I feel as though I have been here forever. Every time we arrive at EV the kids come running up and give us big hugs and smiles. This year I have really connected with a bunch of the kids. For lunch each day, I sit with the youngest girls and have so much fun talking and playing with them. This week, volleyball has been a hit, and it is really cool when we get a good volley going. There have been some changes since the new group arrived. The biggest change is that we get to eat all of our meals at the orphanage! This means we get to spend even more time with the kids because supper is not until 6pm. One of our group topics this week has been faith and trust. God has been teaching me so much down here. I feel so attached to the people down here, I cannot imagine leaving them Love to all back home!! ~Stephanie
