(Thursday)
The day started out with Liz and Sarah making French toast. Then was a nice change of pace - instead of going to the worksite, we headed into downtown Puebla. We had the privilege of visiting a magnificent cathedral there and then shopping at a pedestrian-only marketplace. After breaking into groups of 5 (yes, each group had a chaperone!), we headed out in search of souvenirs.
Many purchases and a few hundred pesos later, a happy group of teens piled into the van; we drove back to the orphanage and had yet another delicious lunch.
We spent the afternoon with the kids, and we are proud to say that our Spanish has greatly improved since our first day here.
